Timeline: 12 Week Internship, June - August 2024

About My Internship

This summer, I interned as a UX Design Intern at Apple, focusing on improving the developer experience in Xcode. I explored various workflows, identified key problem areas, and collaborated closely with my team to design an innovative solution.

The project involved research, ideation, and continuous feedback, providing me with valuable experience in user-centered design and problem-solving at scale.

Key Learnings

Deep Research & Problem-Solving

I focused heavily on research and ideation, diving deep into the developer's workflow to identify pain points that impact everyday use of Xcode. It wasn’t just about finding any problem—it was about uncovering issues that disrupt the workflow and designing meaningful solutions.

Strategic Feedback Integration

Presenting constantly and receiving feedback taught me to structure my ideas clearly and apply input strategically. I learned to iterate quickly without feeling overwhelmed by feedback, ensuring that solutions aligned with the developer’s needs and goals.

Storytelling & User-Centric Design

I realized the importance of framing designs around user needs and the core problem. Storytelling became a critical tool for effectively presenting ideas, helping to ground solutions in real user scenarios rather than focusing solely on features.

Thank You

A huge thank you to my manager Holly, who guided me every step of the way, and to Cheech and Sonu for their incredible support and feedback throughout my project. This internship at Apple was an insanely rewarding experience and I will never forget it <3
